Shade you can use
Shade is what makes a patio usable all summer.
Built with intention
A pergola is a simple structure, so there is nowhere for poor work to hide. Timbers sized properly, solid joinery, and a foundation that will not move.

Warm, naturally rot-resistant and low-maintenance.
Shade is what makes a patio usable all summer.
Every joint held with black decorative hardware.
We also build in Douglas fir, Japanese cedar and metal.
Where there is already a four-inch concrete slab, a pergola can often sit straight on it — it depends on the size and weight of the structure and on what the building department will allow. Where there is no slab, the posts go on concrete piers.
An attached pergola reads as an extension of the house rather than an addition to the yard, and it shades the rooms behind it as well as the patio.
Standing on its own, a pergola goes where you need it: privacy where you want it, shade where you want it, and a clear edge that defines the space. The open design keeps the light and the air moving.
A clear cover keeps the light and sheds the weather. It is the difference between a structure you use when the weather is kind and one you use the rest of the year.
Preferred installer ofThe Stoddard Building Group is a preferred installer of Cover Your Pergola™. SkyPoly is their four-layer polycarbonate cover, and it is what we fit when a pergola needs to shed weather without going dark.
Performance figures are Cover Your Pergola’s own. Every photograph on this page is of work we built.
A straightforward process
We will walk the site, listen to how you want to use the space, explain what is worth keeping and provide a written scope and price for the work.
